Classic Irish Novels

Nineteenth-century Irish fiction has sometimes been unfairly neglected. This series aims to publish classic works which are not easily available elsewhere and which, as a set, represent some of the best of Irish writing in the nineteenth century. Each novel includes an introduction by a contemporary Irish writer, and the text reproduced in all but one case is that of the first edition.

The Nowlans by John Banim
Fardorougha the Miser by William Carleton
Ormond by Maria Edgeworth
The Collegians by Gerald Griffin
Hurrish by Emily Lawless
Lord Kilgobbin by Charles Lever
A Drama in Muslin by George Moore
